Why “Kritanthos”

When we were searching the name of our office, we had a lot on our minds.  We wanted it to be Cretan genuine non commercial and special at the same time.  To be able to cover all the activities that our office will house, without referring to any of them in particular, because that would be unfair to the others.  

So we opened a dictionary of Cretan dialect and looked for words that could support the above.  We came up with the word "KRITANTHOS", which in our opinion manages to combine the wildness of the island of Crete (Crete=Kri...=Κρήτη) with the most tender and delicate part of a flower, the blossom (Anthos=άνθος).  

This is Crete.  Some of the rarest flowers and herbs grow on the island between the wild rock formations, literally springing up from the cracks in the rocks.  In Crete you will find some of the best honeys, precisely because of the variety of flowers that only Crete can combine in this way.  And between the rocks and the dryness, especially in the summer months, a magnificent seascape emerges.  

The most enchanting paradise of the sea emerges from a land forgotten by time!  What a contrast!  Having experienced this contrast of the island, we will try to bridge those contrasts with your desires!
